Mele kalikimaka!

Tue Dec 22, 2009, 2:18 PM
"Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way to say Merry Christmas to you!"

One day my baby and I are going to go to Hawaii, but for this year, I'll just wish you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas from the warmth (metaphorical warmth, literal coldness) of Finland! So, season's greetings and happy holidays and all that! (:

I shall write up my traditional 2009 report and 2010 plans journal entry after Christmas (but before New Year's Eve). So you'll have to wait for that.

So until then, I shall relax and enjoy the beauty of Christmas, and I wish you all a wonderful time!

(And yeees, NaNoWriMo09 chapter(s) will be put up! I swear!)

Thanks for Ten Thousand

10,000 pageviews?
Wow!

I've been waiting for this, but I honestly thought I'd be waiting for much longer!
Thank you to everyone who has taken a look at my work, I appreciate it! Also thank you to all the faves I've received! However, the biggest thanks goes to those who leave a comment - constructive criticism is what keeps me going. (:

To express my gratitude I'm actually going to upload something from my trip to the north this summer. (I don't like mosquitoes!)

NaNoWriMo is coming up really soon - I'm excited, though I'm not sure how well I'm going to do this year. I do have an idea though, which is a good thing I suppose. A beginning and an end...I just need to figure out how to get from A to B. I also need to do my Autumn personification! I better hurry up with that!

Thank you and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your October! (:

Rain and sun, winter has come.

amongst everlasting stones
roots must linger
though trunks are gone
the wind still pretends
it caresses newborn leaves
a touch that reminds us of its absence
rain nourishes
what no longer remains

even the stones shed tears sometimes

I wish I had the courage to write more.

Updates

Sun Sep 6, 2009, 3:14 AM
I really should update more, but lately I've just been so busy/unable to update.

One major impediment has been my laptop breaking. The video card was damaged and the computer crashed whenever I tried to work with huge photos. Something just opening up Word or the internet to read the stories and comics I need to catch up on made it crash. I did get a new - and gorgeous, might I add - laptop last week but my old one has been stuck at HP's service centre and all my photos and files are on it. ):

I did get it back yesterday...now there's just the problem of moving everything onto my new laptop, which will be delayed by the fact that our external hard drive doesn't have enough free space to move even a quarter of the files. Joy.

So, when all that is sorted out, I'll get my hands on photos from Stockholm, Tallinn, Inari, other random events including Night of the Arts and a camping trip, and maybe some writing. I'm not sure yet if I want to submit more writing on DA. I'm in desperate need of constructive criticism, but that's really hard to get when you're an unknown, procrastinating Deviant. I'll have to think about it.

NaNoWriMo is coming up soon. I'm really excited, though quite scared because I ditched my safe, foolproof plan for an exciting and dangerous one that was inspired by a strange dream I had. It's definitely jumping up and down on thin ice as it's sci-fi and my experience with sci-fi is...well, for reading very minimal and for writing it's non-existent. But it will be fun, like it always is.

I hope everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying autumn/spring, and I hope you're not procrastinating. Don't procrastinate, it's bad. (:

Back!

Wed Aug 5, 2009, 1:18 AM
I have returned! And I'm ready [not] for summer to end!

I loved my art camp in Inari - it was amazing and I'm really sad that I had to say good bye to all the amazing people I met there. Hugs and kisses to them.

I do have a lot of things to post though. (:

Also, I have a STOCK ACCOUNT. It's made by Hexigon and Amblygon (so that'd be me and ~Valsharess). Check it out:

Enjoy the rest of your summer! (:
