22 May 2009 uploaded version 2

In version two I wanted to go for a much cleaner look. The old version was too messy and dark, so I wanted something simple and stylish in version two. I hope I achieved that.
Here's the a bigger version of the pen I drew: [link] It's a little too fat but if it was thinner it would be too small on the stamp.

I hope that you all find version 2 much more pleasing to the eye than the original!

Thank you for all the faves!
If you have some art that you've done with your tablet, I'd love to see it, so drop me a link! =D

Do you not have a Wacom? Do you not like Wacom? Do you believe that it's about the art and not the tablet? Here's a stamp for you: [link]

I'm not going to be a Wacom user for much longer!! Personally, I'm pretty disappointed in Wacom's recent models and drivers. They're so unreliable. |D

Of course you can use it. (: If you link it on DA it'll automatically lead to me, and if you use it outside DA I'd like some credit, but otherwise you're free to display it! (:

Nice, I have a wacom intous the bamboo one is not too bad though besides the size and lack of zoom. Lol maybe I'm the exception but I hardly used the other buttons. This has a pretty animation. Gonna use on my profile. =)

Just recently got into digital since I started to use a Wacom Bamboo. :D Love it. Having a tablet makes digital sketches and line arts so much easier. Nice stamp, too! Like the depth on it.

haha I remember wanting a tablet foreeeever. Then I could finally buy my Graphire 4 that I still use today!
funny story: when I was shopping around for them, I went to several electronics and office supplies stores. One of the latter type (which also sold computers, cameras, etc, not just paperclips XP), I went in and asked if they had tablets and they gave me pain killer tablets. :lmao:
Amblygon Featured By Owner Oct 15, 2013  Hobbyist
Heheheh! That's a great story. :DD I bet these days a lot of people will be offered a tablet like an iPad or whatever if they go ask for a tablet in an electronics store.

I've never used a tablet.... Is it good to use ? I only draw with my mouse but I'm tired of it :iconsadpandaplz: I wonder : Is a wacom really this good ?

I'm seeking for advice cause I'm pretty new at digital drawing... :iconcuterussiaplz:
Amblygon Featured By Owner Sep 3, 2013  Hobbyist

I don't actually draw that much with my tablet, but I use it as a more accurate mouse to do Photoshop work. The difference in accuracy is quite big.
Obviously tablets are quite expensive. There are of course cheaper options, but they're not always easy to find.

Having a mouse doesn't mean that one's art is bad. There's an artist who I follow on DA and his art is amazing and he uses a mouse. I guess many people prefer to use a tablet because it more accurately reflects drawing by hand so drawing is faster and cleaner.

If you're quite new to digital drawing, you might want to wait a bit longer before investing in a tablet. This will allow you to develop your skills in things that don't require a tablet (colour choices, anatomy, lighting, etc), and if then later start to feel like a tablet might be a good idea, then you could look into the options that work with your own financial situation. (: You can find a small Wacom tablet for about 50-60 Euros, and a used tablet could be found for even cheaper probably.

Good luck with your art!
